Ingrid had a Warholian knack for feeding off the deviance of others. She spent her leisure days surrounded by freaks and performers vying for her slight amusement. Paul fooled and honored himself her favorite, an assertion she saw no reason to correct or confirm.

Ingrid, reclining in a mass of pillows on the couch, leaned forward to reach the tv remote revealing the better part of her upper torso. She pressed the volume control until two thirds of the bars disappeared, "You should stop caring so much about what others think. You make it too easy on them."
